Welcome to Settlr. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Settlr website, web application, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using Settlr, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the Services.

1. About Settlr

Settlr is a marketplace platform that connects individuals seeking assistance (“Customers”) with independent service providers (“Guides”) who offer services such as relocation assistance, home services, local support, and other related services.

Settlr provides the technology platform that allows Customers and Guides to discover services, communicate, schedule appointments, and manage service transactions.

Settlr does not directly provide most services listed on the platform and does not employ independent Guides.

2. Eligibility

To use Settlr, you must:

  • Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.
  • Provide accurate and complete account information.
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

You may not use Settlr if your account has previously been suspended or terminated by us.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

  • All activity performed through your account.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • Provide necessary information required to complete requested services.
  • Attend scheduled appointments or provide appropriate notice for cancellations.
  • Follow applicable laws and safety requirements.

Customers are responsible for reviewing Guide profiles, ratings, availability, and service details before booking.

5. Guide Responsibilities

Guides are independent service providers using Settlr to connect with Customers.

Guides agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about their identity, skills, experience, and services.
  • Maintain professional conduct.
  • Deliver services as described.
  • Communicate clearly with Customers.
  • Follow all applicable laws, licenses, permits, and regulations required for their services.
  • Maintain appropriate qualifications where required.

Guides are solely responsible for the services they provide.

6. Independent Service Providers

Guides are independent contractors and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of Settlr.

Settlr does not:

  • Control how Guides perform services.
  • Guarantee the quality of services.
  • Supervise Guide activities.
  • Create an employment relationship with Guides.

Any agreement for services is between the Customer and the Guide.

7. Bookings and Payments

Settlr may provide tools to facilitate bookings and payments between Customers and Guides.

Users agree that:

  • Booking details must be accurate.
  • Prices and availability may vary depending on the Guide.
  • Payment terms may be displayed before confirmation.
  • Users must complete payments according to the applicable booking terms.

Settlr may use third-party payment providers to process transactions.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation and refund policies may vary depending on the service and circumstances.

Users should review applicable booking details before confirming a service.

Settlr may assist with disputes between users but does not guarantee a specific outcome.

9. Reviews and Ratings

Users may have the ability to provide reviews and ratings.

Reviews must:

  • Be truthful and based on personal experience.
  • Not contain harassment, threats, discrimination, or false information.
  • Not violate applicable laws.

Settlr may remove reviews that violate these Terms or platform policies.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Settlr for illegal activities.

  • Impersonate another person.
  • Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
  • Attempt to bypass platform security.
  • Interfere with the operation of Settlr.

Settlr encourages users to:

13. Intellectual Property

All Settlr branding, logos, designs, software, content, and platform features are owned by or licensed to Settlr.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or use Settlr materials without permission.

14. Account Suspension and Termination

Settlr may suspend or terminate accounts if users:

  • Engage in fraudulent activity.
  • Harm other users.
  • Misuse the platform.
  • Create security risks.

Users may stop using Settlr at any time.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

Settlr provides the platform on an “as available” basis.

  • The availability or quality of services provided by Guides.
  • The accuracy of user-provided information.
  • Specific results from using the platform.

16. Limitation of Liability

  • Actions or services provided by Guides.
  • Disputes between Customers and Guides.
  • Losses resulting from user interactions.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Users are responsible for evaluating and accepting the risks associated with engaging other users through the platform.

17. Indemnification

You agree to protect and hold harmless Settlr and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Services.
  • Your violation of these Terms.
  • Your interactions with other users.
  • Your violation of applicable laws.
